Shape the future of asset investment and performance across our network

 

As our Head of Asset Management, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring our network assets are managed effectively, efficiently and sustainably. This is a strategic position where you’ll lead the development of our Network Asset Management Plan (NAMP), driving investment decisions that balance cost, risk and performance while delivering regulatory commitments and exceptional outcomes for our customers.

 

Working across the business, you’ll provide expert asset management leadership, supporting major delivery programmes, influencing investment strategies and ensuring robust regulatory reporting. You’ll lead a highly capable team responsible for asset data management and onsite data capture activities, ensuring the quality, accuracy and integrity of information that underpins critical business decisions.

 

You’ll also work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, identifying innovative technologies and new ways of working that improve network performance, drive efficiencies and enhance the customer experience. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on the future of our network while leading substantial investment programmes and shaping long-term asset strategy.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced asset management leader with strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and a passion for driving performance through effective asset investment and data-led decision making.

 

  • Asset Management Expertise – Significant experience in a senior asset management role, ideally within a regulated utility or infrastructure environment.
  • Strategic Investment Experience – Proven ability to develop asset investment strategies and manage large-scale programmes that optimise cost, risk and performance.
  • Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of asset management principles, systems and techniques, with experience working with complex engineering assets.
  • Leadership Capability – Exceptional people leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial & Regulatory Understanding – Experience managing substantial budgets and delivering against regulatory frameworks, obligations and performance targets.
  • Professional Credentials – Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline, with professional asset management accreditation desirable.
