Title: Risk & Assurance Support Officer
Help strengthen the controls that keep our business safe, compliant and efficient
As our Risk and Assurance Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of risk and assurance activities across Cadents Capital Delivery projects and our supply chain. This isn't just about auditing processes, it's about helping the business identify risks, improve controls and drive continuous improvement across operational activities.
Working closely with the Risk, Reporting and Assurance team, you'll support the planning, design and delivery of second-line assurance activities across Cadents Capital Delivery process and our supply chain/contract partners. You'll help ensure assurance programmes are robust, risks are effectively managed and recommendations lead to meaningful improvements in performance and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing information, investigating issues and working collaboratively with stakeholders to improve business processes and outcomes.

- Risk & Assurance Delivery – Support the development and delivery of assurance plans that focus on key business risks and controls.
- Audit & Investigation Activities – Deliver assurance reviews and support investigations relating to business events, operational activities and change initiatives.

- Regulatory Support – Contribute to regulatory reporting and assurance activities that support compliance and business performance.
What you'll bring:
- Assurance Experience – Knowledge of assurance, auditing, risk management or compliance activities within a regulated environment.
- Analytical Skills – Ability to assess information, identify trends and provide practical recommendations.
- Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management – Ability to build effective working relationships across operational and corporate teams.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset – Passion for identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and business performance.
- Regulatory Awareness – Understanding of relevant legislation, standards and assurance frameworks.
- Problem-Solving Ability – Confidence investigating issues and supporting effective resolution.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Lead or Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001) or equivalent internal auditor training.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification preferred.
- NEBOSH General Certificate desirable.
