Job Purpose

 

As a PAM Technical Specialist at Cadent, you'll play a vital role in supporting and developing our Privileged Access Management (PAM) capability across cloud, on-premise and hybrid technology environments. Working across both Infrastructure  and Operational Technology (OT) environments, you'll help ensure privileged access is secure, controlled and compliant with regulatory and security requirements. 

 

This is a highly technical specialist role where you'll provide hands-on expertise across Cadent’s CyberArk estate and evolve the function. You’ll support privileged credential management, session brokering, password rotation, access workflows, onboarding and audit controls. You’ll work with multiple teams to strengthen security controls while enabling operational teams to work effectively.  

 

From reducing standing privilege and improving visibility of privileged activity through to supporting disaster recovery, platform roadmaps and design assurance, you'll play a key role in helping Cadent deliver a secure, resilient and auditable privileged access service.  

Key Responsibilities

 

This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of Cadent’s cyber security and operational technology landscape. 

 

Security-Critical Impact – Help protect privileged access across business-critical, operational and mission-critical systems. 

 

CyberArk Ownership – Take ownership of key CyberArk services and capabilities across both self-hosted and cloud environments. 

 

Technical Variety – Work across cloud, infrastructure, identity, security monitoring, ITSM and operational technology environments. 

 

Strategic Influence – Contribute to PAM roadmaps, architectural decisions and Technology Design Authority reviews. 

 

Security & Compliance Focus – Support regulatory requirements, audit activities and industry security frameworks. 

 

Operational Resilience – Help deliver secure disaster recovery capabilities and strengthen the resilience of critical access services. 

Skills and Experience

 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Degree in Computing, Cyber Security, Information Technology or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to operational teams, architects and project stakeholders 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 
  • Experience supporting architecture reviews and design governance activities 
  • Ability to translate complex security concepts into clear business language 
  • ITIL Foundation certification 
  • CyberArk certification such as Defender, Sentry or equivalent highly desirable 

 

Privileged Access Management Expertise 

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering CyberArk Privileged Access Management solutions 
  • Experience supporting privileged account onboarding, credential management, password rotation and session control 
  • Strong understanding of least privilege, Zero Trust, privileged access governance and segregation of duties 
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks 

 

CyberArk Technical Expertise 

Experience supporting technologies such as: 

  • CyberArk Vault 
  • CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) 
  • CyberArk Privilege Cloud 
  • CyberArk Secure Infrastructure Access 
  • CyberArk Secure Cloud Access 
  • CyberArk Secure Web Sessions 

 

Identity & Cloud Knowledge 

  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Entra ID 
  • Experience integrating PAM solutions with identity providers, MFA, federation and directory services 
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS and cloud administration controls 
  • Experience integrating PAM platforms with ITSM and SIEM solutions 

 

Security & Operational Experience 

  • Experience supporting audits, access reviews and compliance activities 
  • Understanding of privileged session recording, log management and security monitoring 
  • Experience troubleshooting authentication, access, credential and integration issues 
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, operational resilience and business continuity principles
