Title: Operations Assurance Manager
Drive compliance. Assure delivery. Support operational excellence across the network.
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Operational Assurance Manager to join our team across the East of England network.
This is a full time role with a hybrid working pattern, based across the East of England network with regular travel required across sites and depots. The role includes standby responsibilities as part of a Band D rota.

As an Operational Assurance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring operational programmes are delivered safely, compliantly, and efficiently. You’ll provide assurance across replacement, MOBs, and wider operational activities while working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders to drive high standards across the network.
This is a high impact role where you’ll combine operational expertise, stakeholder management, and assurance activities to support exceptional delivery and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
Provide operational assurance & oversight
- Provide assurance across replacement, MOBs, and related operational programmes
- Ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with business standards
Support planning & programme delivery
- Oversee planning, design, and delivery activities
- Work with internal teams and delivery partners to ensure effective scheduling and resourcing
Monitor performance & manage risk
- Monitor operational performance and compliance across delivery activities
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and act as an escalation point where required
Conduct assurance & stakeholder engagement
- Carry out site assurance activities across the network
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a confident and experienced operational professional with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll thrive in a fast paced environment and be passionate about safety, compliance, and performance improvement.
Experience
- Strong experience in operational delivery, assurance, or programme management
- Experience managing operational risk and performance improvement activities
Skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CDM and NRSWA
- Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards (e.g. NEBOSH)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to drive operational performance and continuous improvement
