We’re looking for an experienced and technically strong Network Specialist to join our team, supporting operations across the East of England network.

 

This is a permanent, full time role 37 hours, Monday to Friday with a hybrid working pattern. The role involves travel across the network and includes a company car and a standby requirement to support operational needs.

What you’ll be doing

 

Provide technical expertise & support

  • Offer specialist technical advice to network teams
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, policies, and statutory requirements

 

Lead investigations & improve performance

  • Investigate incidents and performance concerns
  • Use insight to drive operational and safety improvements

 

Deliver network improvement initiatives

  • Design and implement projects to improve efficiency and customer outcomes
  • Drive initiatives across the network with measurable impact

 

Promote safety & operational excellence

  • Champion strong safety leadership and best practice
  • Support teams to embed safe control of operations

What you’ll bring

 

You’ll be a confident technical expert with strong leadership capability and the ability to influence teams across a complex operational environment. You’ll be proactive, analytical, and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.

 

Experience

  • Experience working with high-pressure systems (above 7 bar) and major accident hazard pipelines is essential
  • Experience managing change (e.g. governance processes such as G17) and asset/plant protection

 

Skills

  • Ability to analyse complex technical issues and performance data
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and health & safety standards
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to support standby requirements
