We are looking for an IT Programme Manager to join us here at Cadent on an initial 12 month contract (potential to be extended), you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high‑value programmes that are central to our Technology Roadmap and strategic transformation agenda. Reporting into the Transformation and Programme Director, you’ll sit at the heart of the Securing Operations programme, ensuring initiatives are aligned to Cadent’s long‑term vision, priorities and regulatory commitments.

 

This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll oversee multiple projects, and guide delivery standards.. You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands‑on governance, helping Cadent drive efficiencies, embrace innovation and deliver change at pace in a fast‑moving technology landscape.

What you'll bring:

 

You’re an experienced programme manager who thrives in complex environments and can move confidently between strategic direction and delivery detail.

 

Programme & Delivery Expertise

  • Strong experience leading complex projects, programmes or portfolios, ideally within technology‑led transformation and Cybersecurity.
  • Strong capability across planning, governance, risk management, reporting and financial control.

 

Leadership & Influence

  • Proven ability to coach and mentor people.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior leaders, directors and external suppliers.

 

Change & Transformation Mindset

  • Experience driving change in dynamic and demanding environments.
  • Ability to balance delivery discipline with flexibility and pace.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or professional programme management qualification (MSP, PRINCE2, PMP) – highly desirable.
  • Around 5+ years’ project or programme management experience.
  • Experience of cyber or engineering‑led programmes is advantageous.
