Lead safe, efficient, and high-performing energy operations

 

As an Area Supervisor within Energy Operations you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of direct and contract resources, assets, and workload delivery within the West Midlands network. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards, and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.

 

You’ll lead a motivated team, manage asset health and risk, and ensure the successful delivery of planned and reactive work. From overseeing incident investigations to enabling future energy programmes, this role is central to maintaining the integrity and performance of our network.

What you will bring

You’re an experienced operational leader with a strong technical background and a passion for safety, performance, and people.

  • Qualifications – HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent in network engineering techniques, supported by IOSH and SCO CP & AE certifications.
  • Industry Experience – experience in engineering project delivery, preferably within the gas industry.
  • Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of gas assets, process systems, SCO, and engineering standards.
  • Leadership & Compliance – Skilled in managing teams, performance, and compliance with HSE and process safety regulations.
  • Problem Solving – Able to provide technical advice, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Communication Skills – Clear, confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
