Title: Planning and Scheduling Analyst
Job Purpose
Please note: Interviews will be taking place either last week of January / first week of February at Cadent's Warrington depot.
An exciting opportunity for a Planning & Scheduling Analyst to join our Connections team has become available on a Fixed term / secondment basis!
We are looking for a motivated individual to collaborate with our Operational Planning and Delivery Teams to manage and deliver Network Annual Plans and Targets. In this role, you will identify opportunities to enhance delivery performance and productivity, support performance improvements, and manage resources to ensure resilience and regulatory compliance. You will also analyze delivery against Annual Plans and Targets, develop recovery plans as needed, and create standard operating procedures with a focus on end-to-end process impacts. Be a part of a customer-focused team and contribute to our wider business goals.
Key Responsibilities

Convert and Manage Plans: Transform the strategic workload plan into a long-term cycle plan (18 months to 1 month) and manage the delivery plan across all work types, ensuring timely and quality handover.

Financial and Performance Management: Understand the financial implications of the plan, take actions to improve performance, and create progress reports to track mandated programs and support recovery plans.

Ongoing Plan Management: Provide ongoing management and maintenance of the work plan through to delivery and close out, coordinating short-term planning cycles to meet long-term ambitions and regulatory targets.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather, extract, and analyze data from multiple sources to track work completions, understand trends, create performance metrics, and conduct comprehensive analysis of actuals to develop solutions.

Customer Engagement and Compliance: Engage with local customers to ensure excellent customer experience, ensure all pre-requisites are in place, plan post-work activities, coach teams on process compliance, and develop standard working methods for planning and scheduling.
Skills and Experience
- People Management - there will be 4 direct reports to manage in this position
- Prior experience of developing and documenting business process, is desirable.
- Prior experience of SAP/Click software (o similar scheduling solution) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working in a ‘fast paced environment’.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
