Job Purpose

Step into a pivotal role where you'll energize our Operations, Maintenance, and Investment departments, ensuring our policies and procedures set the gold standard in the industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Championing Safety and Compliance: Lead the charge in fostering a vibrant safety culture, ensuring our team meets and exceeds health, safety, and environment goals while staying compliant with all regulations.

  • Innovative Maintenance Management: Spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge maintenance practices, procedures, and preventative plans, setting new standards in engineering excellence.

  • Dynamic Team and Stakeholder Coordination: Forge strong, lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution with the right talent in the right place at the right time.

  • Strategic Project and Maintenance Oversight: Drive successful project completions and routine maintenance activities, maintaining impeccable asset records and ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.

  • Proactive Audits and Staff Engagement: Conduct thorough audits and inspections, inspire and motivate the team, and engage directly with field forces and stakeholders to create a culture of excellence and ownership.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience and Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in an E&I environment, with a strong background in delivering engineering projects, preferably within the gas industry.

  • Comprehensive Knowledge: In-depth understanding of gas plant and process systems, Gas Distribution’s Core Processes, and engineering standards.

  • Risk and Safety Management: Proficient in risk management principles and tools, with a good working knowledge of HSE regulations and process safety principles.

  • Qualifications and Certifications: Holds relevant qualifications such as HNC/SNVQ L3, EUSR Gas Safety Passport, IOSH, and SCO 1, 2, 4 & 5 certifications.

  • Operational Skills: Strong knowledge of network operations and SCO requirements, supported by operational experience in network engineering techniques.
