At Cadent, our Customer Operations Function plays a vital role in delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused services across our regulated activities—including Emergency Response, Repair, Connections, and Reinstatement. As a Network Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, leading a team to deliver operational excellence while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.
This is a people-focused leadership role where you’ll support and guide your team to meet performance targets, drive collaboration, and maintain a strong safety culture. You’ll lead by example—promoting teamwork, encouraging continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with Cadent’s core policies and procedures. Your ability to plan ahead, anticipate team needs, and foster a positive, inclusive working environment will be key to your success.

Why You'll Love This Role:
Operational Supervision & Safety Leadership - Accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of Repair activities across a defined region, ensuring compliance with Cadent’s safety, customer, and performance standards through visible frontline engagement.
Team Management & Continuous Improvement - Lead and motivate a regional workforce, embedding a culture of continuous improvement using performance metrics, while driving productivity, resource optimisation, and cost efficiencies.
Compliance, Standards & Incident Response - Conduct workplace inspections, enforce adherence to policies and procedures, and supervise incident investigations in line with protocols, including fire, explosion, and CO poisoning events.
Authorisation & Operational Control - Hold or working towards Authorising Engineer and Competent Person status, authorise operational requirements under Safe Control of Operations, and manage standby and call-out duties as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement & Data Integrity - Act as Cadent’s public representative in handling complaints and enquiries, manage team-level HR processes, and ensure accurate data recording to support regulatory and performance reporting.
What You'll Bring:
Regulatory & Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of HSE regulations, statutory requirements, codes of practice, engineering instructions, and frameworks such as OSGEM 2 and NRSWA.
Operational & Process Expertise - Broad knowledge of field-based policies and procedures, work dispatch systems, and effective planning and resource management.
Leadership & Communication Skills - Proven ability to coach, influence, and communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—to drive team performance and engagement.
Customer, Contract & Project Management - Demonstrated focus on customer service, with experience in contract oversight and managing projects to deliver operational excellence.
Commercial & Regulatory Awareness - Sound understanding of financial principles and regulatory expectations, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making across activities.
