About the role: 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Operations Supervisor to join our team being responsible for our Leicester and Nottingham areas.

 

Working as an Area Supervisor you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of Customer Operations direct and contract resources, assets & delivery of workload within the East Midlands network.

What you'll get to work on:

  • Supervising an effective and highly motivated workforce, driving performance delivering year-on-year cost efficiencies and improvements in productivity and resource utilisation whilst maintaining world-class operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Carry out workplace inspections to demonstrate compliance with the required standards/company procedures
  • Manage sickness/absenteeism and performance management procedures for direct reports, to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Ensure all data is captured accurately and handled/stored to comply with Cadent Policies & Procedures and makes sure activities are in full compliance with Safe Control of Operations procedures and CDM requirements
  • Manage and control of asset risk and identification of investment opportunity within the network and being accountable for onsite incident supervision and investigation in line with company procedures i.e., Fire, Explosion, Evacuation
  • Ensure individuals comply with policy and work procedures and achieve company standards of service throughout all activities
  • Responsible for delivery of work stack within the defined SLAs (AMP, Reactive, Projects, Customer Driven)
  • Responsible for safe management of external contractors / internal teams onsite undertaking project (including but not limited to briefings, site security, emergency arrangements, competency etc.)
  • Conducting investigations into process safety / asset incidents and provide technical advice/problem solving assistance to address faults on assets
  • Application of project controls, reforecasting, reporting and delivery to plan for all asset health work

Who are we looking for:

Qualifications

 

  • HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualifications
  • IOSH
  • SCO CP & AE


Practical Experience

 

  • Delivery of engineering projects preferable within the gas industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas assets and process systems
  • Knowledge of Gas Distribution’s core processes and risk management principles and tools
  • An understanding of HSE regulations, Process Safety Principals, Operations and SCO requirements and engineering standards
