As a SHEs Advisor, you'll play a vital role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across operational activities. You'll provide expert advice, support investigations, conduct compliance inspections, and work closely with operational teams to continuously improve performance and safety outcomes.

What you'll be doing

 

Provide SHE support & guidance

  • Support, advise, and deliver SHEs, performance, and quality activities across operational processes
  • Provide expert guidance to ensure work complies with relevant SHE legislation

 

Drive compliance & assurance

  • Conduct safety, engineering, and procedural compliance inspections
  • Support ISO 14001 audits and environmental assurance activities

 

Support investigations & reporting

  • Provide guidance and support for incident investigations
  • Assist with the preparation of internal investigation reports and submissions to regulatory authorities

 

Promote safety culture & best practice

  • Champion a culture of zero tolerance towards accidents and self-inflicted incidents
  • Share and implement technical and procedural best practice

 

Build strong stakeholder relationships

  • Collaborate with operational teams, safety specialists, supply chain partners, and external stakeholders
  • Support knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practice across the business

What you'll bring

 

You'll be passionate about safety, compliance, and supporting operational teams to work safely and effectively. You'll be comfortable advising stakeholders, investigating issues, and helping drive positive change.

 

Experience

  • Experience working within a health, safety, environmental, or operational compliance role
  • Good understanding of SHE legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidance
  • Understanding of risk management principles and practical application

 

Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to coach, influence, and support others
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and legislation
