About the role: 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Supervisor to join our team based in the East Midlands on a 12month fixed term contract. 

 

As an Area Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of Energy Operations direct and contract resources, assets & delivery of workload within a geographical area of the Cadent Network.

 

You will also be supervising an effective and highly motivated workforce, and will drive performance within the team with the aim of delivering year-on year cost efficiencies and improvements in productivity and resource utilisation, whilst maintaining world-class operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. 

What you'll get to work on:

  • Manage full G17 process parts A-F for reactive work as appropriate (To be agreed with Portfolio team)
  • Responsible for full compliance with Safe Control of Operations (SCO)
  • Be accountable for onsite incident supervision and investigation in line with company procedures i.e., Fire, Explosion, Evacuation.
  • procedures i.e., Fire, Explosion, Evacuation.
  • Share, promote and participate /implement technical and procedural best practice
  • Reporting of asset condition through agreed data capture systems
  • Responsible for delivery of workstacks within agreed SLA’s
  • Managing the interface of Customer Operations to support with CO workload.
  • Responsible for the health of assets with the Network
  • Manage sickness/absenteeism and performance management procedures for direct reports, to ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are in full compliance with Cadent Procedures, Safe Control of Operations procedures and CDM requirements

Who we are looking for:

Qualifications

 

  • HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualifications

 

Practical Experience

 

  • Delivery of engineering projects preferable within the gas industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas assets and process systems
  • Knowledge of Gas Distribution’s core processes
  • Understanding of risk management principles and tools
  • Understanding of HSE regulations, Process Safety Principals, Operations and SCO requirements and engineering standards
