Be the Public Face of Cadent’s Land Engagement

Are you passionate about building trusted relationships and delivering an excellent customer experience? Do you enjoy work that gets you out into the field, where face-to-face engagement really matters and every visit makes a difference?

As a Landowner Liaison Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of Cadent’s engagement with landowners across the North West. You’ll play a key role in ensuring people who live and work near our high-pressure gas assets are informed, supported, and confident in how to interact safely with our network.

From confirming receipt of our communications and explaining safe digging requirements, to being a reassuring and knowledgeable presence on site, your work will directly support the safety of our infrastructure and help strengthen our relationships with the communities we serve.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and meaningful interaction. You’ll represent Cadent’s values in the field, promote safety, and ensure landowners feel listened to, respected, and well supported

Why you will love this role

  • Field Engagement – Visit landowners across the North West network to explain our assets and promote safe digging practices.
  • Variety – Enjoy a balanced mix of site visits and office-based work. Some days will be spent out meeting landowners; others handling emails, calls, and administrative tasks.
  • Customer Focus – Act as a key point of contact, delivering a high standard of service and ensuring communications are received, understood, and responded to effectively.
  • Autonomous Planning – Organise and manage your own visit schedule, planning routes efficiently and prioritising landowners appropriately.
  • Data Accuracy – Capture and maintain accurate landowner contact details and site visit records, ensuring timely updates to our systems.
  • Safety First – Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including lone working protocols and the correct use of PPE.
  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with the wider Operational Land Team, sharing insights and escalating any concerns as needed.
  • Broader Support – Assist with additional land-related activities, including easement plotting, administrative support, and wider customer liaison.

What you will bring

  • Strong Communication Skills – Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and explaining information clearly and professionally.
  • Technical Capability – Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Mobility – A full UK driving licence is essential. Occasional weekend working may be required if weekday visits are unsuccessful.
  • Attention to Detail – A commitment to accuracy and maintaining high-quality records.
  • Self‑Motivation – The ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively, and use initiative to resolve issues.
  • Flexibility – Comfort working both in the field and in the office, adapting to changing priorities.

Ready to make a difference? This Landowner Liaison Advisor role offers an opportunity to grow or bring fresh experience, while playing a vital role in safeguarding our network, strengthening community relationships, and supporting operational excellence across the North West.
