We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Case Adminstrator to join our People Services department on a 9month fixed term contract basis!

 

As our Employee Relations Case Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our People Managers and Employee Relations Advisors to deliver fair, consistent and high‑quality case management administration across Cadent. This role isn’t just about administration though – it’s about providing trusted support, ensuring compliance, and helping to create a smooth, professional experience for our people managers navigating our ER processes.

 

Working within our HR Services function, you’ll provide administrative support for ER activities across absence, disciplinary and grievance. You will provide support to prepare documentation as well as maintaining accurate case trackers and relevant management information.

  • Case Administration– Support the people manager with end‑to‑end administration for absence, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring documentation and communications are timely and accurate.
  • Stakeholder Support – Work closely with People Managers, advisors and trade union reps, providing clear updates and supporting meetings and hearings.
  • Data & Tracking – Maintain ER trackers, monitor deadlines, chase actions and ensure case records are complete, accurate and compliant. Maintain accurate metrics for your daily activities.
  • Documentation & Compliance – Produce letters of invitation and support the people manager in preparing case packs ensuring compliance with ACAS and Cadent policy.
  • Continuous Improvement – Contribute ideas to improve processes, SOPs and ways of working within the ER team.

What you’ll bring:

You’re organised, detail‑focused and confident managing sensitive information in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Working towards CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of ACAS guidelines, basic employment law and Cadent policy
  • Experience working in a busy HR and operational environment
  • Strong organisation and time‑management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication
  • Ability to work confidentially with tact and discretion
  • Must demonstrate strong resilience and a consistently tenacious attitude
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative approach
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping
  • Competence with SAP HR, SuccessFactors or OpenText (desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF)
  • Ability to work independently and know when to seek guidance
  • London Based (desirable), flexibility to travel to depots and offices up to 5 times a week within the Network when required
