Title: Volunteering Safeguarding Specialist

The Volunteer Co ordinator will play a key role in strengthening Cadent’s social impact by designing, promoting, and delivering meaningful volunteering opportunities for colleagues. The postholder will work closely with charity partners, internal stakeholders, and Network Directors to create programmes that deliver real value for the communities we serve and increase awareness of Cadent’s community commitments.
This role focuses on building strong relationships, identifying impactful opportunities, and ensuring volunteering activity aligns with Cadent’s values, strategy, and corporate responsibilities. Reporting of successes, MI and data collation as well as presenting at senior levels across the business is also a key responsibility and accountability.

What you’ll bring
Specialist Expertise
- Strong safeguarding understanding and the ability to deliver a quality, trusted specialist service.
- A track record of influencing, decision‑making and delivering cross‑functional projects.
- Experience working in or with the Third Sector (preferred).
Customer & Community Focus
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, confident communication skills, and the ability to deliver brilliant service to a wide range of stakeholders.
Analytical Ability
- Confidence using data and insight to shape strategies and monitor performance.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Visible proactive leadership that promotes a positive safety culture and supports continuous improvement across the business.
Organisational Skills
- Ability to work to clear processes, procedures and timescales, taking ownership of a specialist service and delivering to both internal and external expectations.
