Title: Senior Tech Specialist (Data Analytics Solutions) (FTC)
Lead the design of data‑driven solutions across Cadent
We are looking for a Senior Technical Specialist with a focus on Data & Analytics Solutions at Cadent to cover a period of Maternity leave. You’ll play a key role in defining how data is designed, governed and used across the organisation, sitting within the Data & AI function, you’ll be responsible for creating high‑quality technical designs, standards and patterns that underpin our data platforms and analytics solutions.
This is a senior technical role where you’ll operate as a subject matter expert across data, analytics and AI platforms, ensuring solutions are aligned to enterprise architecture strategy and deliver maximum value to the business.
You’ll work closely with architects, platform teams and business stakeholders to shape the Data & AI roadmap, ensuring Cadent’s platforms are secure, scalable and optimised for both operational and analytical insights.

What you'll bring:
Data & Analytics Expertise
Deep technical knowledge across data platforms, analytics tools and AI solutions
Experience designing data‑driven solutions in enterprise environments
Architecture & Design Skills
Proven experience creating HLDs and LLDs for complex systems
Strong understanding of data architecture, modelling, governance and lifecycle management
Technical Platform Knowledge
Expertise in platforms such as:
SAP BTP and Datasphere
Databricks and big data solutions
AWS native data stack
Visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud)
Experience with data governance and management tools (e.g. Informatica)
Leadership & Influence
Ability to act as a technical authority and provide guidance across the organisation
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑focused outcomes
Strong understanding of system reliability, performance and optimisation
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Data Management, Computer Science or related discipline
Extensive experience in senior technical or architecture roles within complex organisations
Experience working in ITIL‑aligned environments and supporting mission‑critical systems
Scalable ingestion patterns, Delta Lake optimisation, and production‑grade pipeline design.
Strong capability in Medallion architecture (or equivalent layered data‑platform design).
Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and the wider SAP ecosystem is highly desirable for cross‑platform integration.
Knowledge in cloud platform engineering; CI/CD, API integrations, monitoring, security patterns, and operational resilience.
