Job Purpose

Come join us as a Senior Enterprise Architect and help us in our digital revolution! As a Senior Architect, you will align the Enterprise Architecture with the business strategy and organisation design. You will support and guide the Architectural Runway Strategy as well as providing strategic technical direction across various teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading on the strategy for building and maintaining the architectural runway. Additionally, closely collaborate with System Architects and the Agile Team to guide the evolution of solutions, existing code, and technical infrastructure needed to implement near-term features without the use of excessive redesign and delay.
  • Helping to realise the architectural vision which in turn allows for the Agile Teams to design, implement, test, and deliver value ensuring Built-In quality, whilst ensuring designed solutions continue to align with the broader technical vision.
  • Leading, mentoring, supporting and developing our team of Enterprise and System Architects (up to 7 direct reports).
  • Actively engaging with System Architects, ensuring all design choices are made with an understanding of the overall architectural strategy and roadmap, minimising technology complexity and avoiding unnecessary duplication of solutions or capabilities.
  • Working alongside LPM to determine technology direction. Also working to define and communicate the architectural roadmap, ensuring business needs are constantly met and investments are used in the right areas.
  • Working with Agile Teams and System Architects to help reuse code and existing design patterns to implement technology functionality and new business functionality.
  • Supporting with synchronising various disciplines across solutions, including, but not limited to, system and data security and quality, solution user experience, nonfunctional requirements and more.
  • Utilising the future systems design to influence the organisational design, specifically when identifying value streams and optimising teams within an Agile Release Train.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience leading a team
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications for Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF or OOA)
  • Relevant Agile training and certification
  • Demonstrable experience of defining and maintaining an enterprise-wide view of enterprise architecture including as-is architecture, target state architecture and an architecture roadmap.
  • Experience working with business owners, product managers and products teams to understand strategic objectives and IT priorities to shape the IT portfolio investment priorities and the portfolio roadmap.
  • Agile delivery experience preferably following Scaled Agile Framework
