Are you ready to play a key role in safeguarding the integrity and performance of our operations? As a Risk & Assurance Specialist at Cadent, you’ll be central to our efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across our network. You’ll lead assurance activities that ensure compliance, support continuous improvement, and enhance operational excellence.
This is a high-impact role where your expertise in risk management, assurance delivery, and stakeholder engagement will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and resilience of our gas distribution services.

What You’ll Bring
You bring a proactive mindset, a passion for assurance, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Qualifications – A valid UK Driving Licence is essential. A Risk/Assurance/Audit qualification is desirable.
- Assurance Expertise – Strong understanding of assurance design and delivery, internal control frameworks, and risk management practices.
- Industry Experience – Experience working in a regulated utility or industrial environment, with operational site exposure and technical qualifications considered desirable.
- Analytical Thinking – Proven ability to identify risks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective mitigations.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Skilled in building relationships, influencing others, and driving change across diverse teams.
- Communication Skills – Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Digital Proficiency – Competent in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and web portals to support assurance activities.
