We’re offering a 6-month secondment opportunity for a Financial Reporting Support role based at Ansty Business Park. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial reporting processes are fit for purpose, consistent, and well-controlled.

 

You’ll work closely with internal specialist teams (Pensions, Tax, Controls) and external stakeholders (Auditors) to support statutory reporting, provide technical accounting advice, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial outputs.

  • Balance Sheet Oversight – Provide monthly analysis, support review meetings, and ensure reconciliations meet audit standards.
  • Statutory Reporting – Prepare management accounts and support quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reporting cycles.
  • Audit Support – Liaise with auditors to resolve queries and ensure smooth delivery of audit requirements.
  • Technical Advice – Maintain accounting policies and manuals, and provide expert guidance across the Finance team.
  • Process Documentation – Support the documentation of end-to-end processes and controls to maintain governance standards.
  • Team Collaboration – Coach and support colleagues, contribute to team learning, and help build a customer-focused finance function.

What you’ll bring:

You’re a detail-oriented and collaborative finance professional with a strong technical foundation and a proactive mindset.

  • Part-qualified accountant actively studying with a UK-recognised body (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, with the ability to apply principles in complex situations
  • Experience with governance, risk, and internal control frameworks
  • Skilled in SAP, BPC, and AFO systems
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
