Title: Document Control Support
Be the Backbone of a Landmark Energy Project – Document Control Support
Are you ready to take your document control skills to the next level on a nationally significant infrastructure project? We’re seeking a highly organised and motivated Document Controller to join the dynamic Cadent project team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in connecting our internal teams with key external stakeholders.
You’ll ensure that documentation is meticulously managed and fully compliant with company, regulatory, and project-specific standards. This is your chance to make a real impact, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure that will shape the future of the UK’s energy landscape.
Why You'll Love This Role:
As the Document Controller you will be responsible for:
- Document Control System - Set up, administer, and maintain a comprehensive project documentation system, ensuring accessibility across all relevant project offices and site locations, and compliance with established procedures.
- Document Handling & Transmittals - Prepare and manage document transmittal notes, track all documents received and issued by the project team, and maintain accurate and up-to-date registers for technical and project-related documentation.
- Data Integrity & Backup - Ensure all project documentation is securely stored, properly indexed, and backed up periodically to a secure location, with the ability to generate ad hoc reports as required.
- External Stakeholder Support - Support the preparation and handover of documentation to external bodies (e.g., Planning Inspectorate, DESNZ) for planning applications and business model submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Administrative & Meeting Support - Provide general administrative support including minute-taking, data input, document scanning, secure disposal, and correspondence management to ensure smooth project operations.
What You'll Bring:
- Educational Background - A good standard of education is essential, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Administrative & Organisational Skills - Demonstrated ability in planning, organising, and recording procedures and processes within a structured business environment.
- Stakeholder & Customer Engagement - Experience in relationship management and customer service, with a professional approach to supporting internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency - Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint for document access, upload, and collaboration.
- Industry-Relevant Experience - Previous experience supporting a construction or infrastructure project team is advantageous, especially in a document control or administrative support capacity.
