Support the commercial insight that drives our Capital Delivery programmes

This 12‑month secondment within our Capital Delivery directorate is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role that plays a key part in how we source, manage and deliver commercial activity across major projects. As our Commercial Analyst, you’ll bring structure, coordination and analytical thinking to the commercial and contract management activity that supports the safe, efficient and effective delivery of our capital portfolio.

Working with commercial leads, project teams and suppliers, you’ll support call‑off activities, maintain procurement and contract management processes, and ensure key information is accurate, timely and used to support decision‑making. You’ll build strong relationships across Capital Delivery and Procurement while enabling value through data analysis, supplier insight and commercial governance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail, stakeholder engagement and contributing to how large‑scale infrastructure programmes are commercially controlled.

Why you’ll love this role:

  • Commercial & Contract Support – Assist with contract management and sourcing activity across Capital Delivery, ensuring compliance with frameworks and processes.
  • Procurement Coordination – Raise purchase orders, support call‑off activity and act as the go‑to person for transactional procurement processes.
  • Data & Reporting Insight – Provide reporting and management information to inform commercial and sourcing decisions
  • Supplier & Market Analysis – Support the profiling of supply chains, reviewing market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring – Track contract performance, analyse KPIs and support issue resolution with suppliers.
  • Relationship Building – Engage with project teams, procurement colleagues and supply chain partners to support effective delivery.
  • Value Creation – Contribute to tendering processes and sourcing strategies that deliver value for Cadent.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in procurement, contract management or cost‑focused environments.
  • Confident analysing data, producing reports or dashboards, and using insights to support decisions.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Comfortable working within governance, compliance and procurement processes with high accuracy.
  • Proactive, organised and able to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and resolve issues.
  • Valid UK driving licence required.

If you’re ready to support the commercial delivery of our capital programmes and develop your expertise within a high‑profile directorate, apply now.

Interviews will be held over Microsoft teams on the following dates: Thursday 23rd April and Friday 24th April.
