Title: Asset Investment Senior Engineer - Shrinkage
Location: Hybrid working between Ansty Head Office near Coventry (CV7 9JU) and Home – typically 2 days per week in office

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for technical excellence? Cadent, the UK's largest gas distribution network, is seeking an Asset Strategy Senior Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term investment and strategic direction of our network.
You will be responsible for managing Cadent’s Shrinkage gas processes and associated obligations and Licence conditions to support business and asset investment planning. Your work will shape key outcomes and drive the evolution of the UK's gas infrastructure, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of our services whilst navigating a complex regulatory landscape.

What you will bring
- Qualifications – Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. Incorporated Engineer or recognised Asset Management certification desirable. Chartered status preferred.
- Experience – Proven track record in asset management and investment planning for complex engineering assets.
- Skills – Strategic thinker, strong communicator, and effective collaborator with excellent influencing skills.
- Technical Expertise – Ability to analyse and interpret complex technical and data to form insights and recommendations.
- Business Acumen – Understanding of UK energy systems, RIIO regulatory framework, and commercial processes particularly for gas procurement.
